Barcelona Shopping Line at Mobile World Congress 2016

The Mobile World Congress touches down again in the Catalan capital from 22nd to 25th February. The event brings together more than 95,000 professionals from the mobile technology sector.

The Barcelona Shopping Line welcomes all this year’s visitors and delegates and invites them to take a leisurely stroll through the 5 km retail area which is the biggest of its kind in Europe. You’ll find leading Spanish and international brands and a whole host of distinctive charming shops selling local products. The experience is made even more appealing due to the stunning architecture and the cultural and gastronomic attractions that make exploring the city on foot and shopping a unique experience.

Last year’s congress had an economic impact of 436 million euros on the local economy. Figures provided about VAT refunds issued to visitors from outside the EU at Turisme de Barcelona’s two information offices showed an increase in cash refunds of 34.08% in 2014 and 58.26% in 2015 when the event was being held.
