Javier Úbeda is a sculptor who has devoted himself to his craft for many years, working with different materials, including wood, bronze, aluminium, stone, resin, iron, gold and silver. He has exhibited widely at art galleries while making sculptural objects and furniture for the home.

In 2019, he opened his first showroom and workshop, Hachazuela, with his partner Esther, where you’ll find their different collections of objects and occasional furniture.

Their pieces are truly unique and hand-made with manual tools, taking the necessary time and ensuring that each item, object or piece of furniture is different, distinct and unique.

​At the workshop, with its warm colours, the clients are drawn to the direct contact with the maker who creates bespoke pieces just for them. Hachazuela mainly works with locally sourced olive wood and different kinds of wood from rural estates, guaranteeing the use of sustainable materials.

A new, compound, mouldable material made with olive stones called  “olivón”, is the result of studying and researching ways of closing the olive oil production cycle sustainably and reducing environmental impact.
