Llum BCN Poblenou 2020

This year’s edition of Llum Bcn, Barcelona’s Festival of Light, will take place on 14-16 February. Once again, the neighbourhood of Poblenou will serve as a vast backdrop for artistic installations in which light and audiovisual design come to the fore.

When darkness falls, light will turn Poblenou into a research laboratory for artists from all over the world. Drawing on their creative talents, they will use light, movement, virtual reality and artificial intelligence to explore new forms and meanings for public space.

The festival is full of secrets, surprises and unprecedented, probably never to be repeated images that show everyday corners of the neighbourhood in a different light. Llum BCN invites you to put on your most comfortable footwear and lose yourself as you explore the illuminated streets.

One of the locations that the Barcelona Shopping City would highly recommend is the Glòries Shopping Centre, which will be transformed into a life-like ocean. The ‘WAVE’ installation offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy the effects of coloured lights interacting with sound and air.
