Information

You’ll find Hachazuela in the middle of the district of Gràcia. This unique space is the place to go for sculptural objects and furniture made from different types of wood.

A love of nature forms the basis of each unique, one-off piece made by hand, taking the necessary time. The fact that the customer values the concept of locally sourced materials and direct contact with the maker is key. The name in Spanish “HachAzuela“ is a combination of the names of two traditional tools – the axe (hacha) and the adze (azuela) – which are central to their work.

Javier and Esther are two creative and enquiring minds who are very aware of the importance of recycling. Their main raw materials are olive wood and alabaster from sustainable sources, with a zero carbon footprint. Nothing is imported.
