Barcelona wishes you a Happy Chinese New Year 巴塞罗那祝您新春快乐 祝您新春快乐

The Chinese New Year 2019 begins on 2nd February and celebrates the Year of the Pig. This is an important time for Barcelona’s 2,000-strong Chinese community as it gives them the opportunity to share their culture with the rest of the city.

The celebration has established itself as one of Barcelona’s biggest cultural events, and the city becomes a showcase for Chinese and Catalan customs, with human tower displays and fire-running processions taking place alongside activities associated with Chinese culture.

A day packed with activities where you’ll be able to enjoy a procession, a cultural fair, performances and entertainments.

Some of the city’s shops and restaurants will be specially decorated and offer special products to mark the occasion.
